CHRONOGICS™ ("we", "our", or "us") operates DECZION™ ("the Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and what rights you have. The Service can be used without an account — in that case, all data stays on your device. If you create an account, your decision content is encrypted on your device before it ever leaves, then synced to the cloud — CHRONOGICS™ cannot read your decision data.
1. Data We Collect
Without an account (local only):
- Saved decisions, scores, and outcomes — stored only on your device
- Decision history, run counts, and streak data — stored only on your device
- App preferences (weekly digest settings, notification preferences)
With a free account (cloud sync):
- Your email address and hashed password — stored securely in Supabase
- All saved decisions, comparisons, scores, and outcomes — synced to Supabase and accessible across your devices
- Decision content is encrypted on your device before syncing. CHRONOGICS™ cannot read your decision data. Scores, timestamps, and category tags are stored unencrypted as they are needed for usage analytics.
Usage analytics (anonymous):
- When you run an analysis, use the Compare feature, or log a decision outcome, an anonymous event (event type, optional category tag, and timestamp) is recorded in our database. If you have an account, your user ID may be associated with the event. This data is used solely for aggregate product analytics — we cannot read your decision content from these logs.
Data transmitted to third-party services:
- When you run a decision analysis, your decision title, context, goal, slider values, and selected options are sent to OpenAI's API for processing. This data is used solely to generate the analysis and is not stored by CHRONOGICS™.
- If you enable the Weekly Digest or set a decision review reminder, your email address and relevant decision activity summary are sent to Resend (our email delivery provider) to deliver the email.
- If you submit your email to the waitlist form, it is stored in our database and may be used to notify you about product updates.
Public share links (optional):
- If you choose to share a decision report using the "Share Report" feature, a read-only snapshot of that decision (title, DSI score, structural inputs, and analysis text) is stored in our database and accessible to anyone with the link. Shared reports do not include your account information. You can revoke a share at any time from the Decision Log.
2. Data We Do Not Collect
- No account is required to use the Service — you can run decisions without providing any personal information
- We do not use tracking pixels, behavioral analytics, or ad-tracking cookies
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to any third party
- We do not retain decision content submitted to OpenAI's API
3. How Data Is Used
Your decision data is used exclusively to power the features of the Service — displaying your decision history, calculating patterns, showing streaks, and enabling cloud sync if you create an account.
Data sent to OpenAI's API is used solely to generate the AI-powered analysis you requested. It is subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
4. Cookies and Tracking
The Service does not use advertising cookies or behavioral tracking technologies. Standard browser session data is used for basic app functionality only.
Performance analytics: The Service uses Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to measure page performance and visitor counts. These tools collect anonymised, aggregated data (page views, load times, geographic region) and do not track individual users across sites, store personal identifiers, or use advertising cookies. 5. Data Retention and Deletion
Without an account, your data exists only on your device. You can delete it at any time from the Settings page.
With an account, your data is stored in Supabase. Deleting your data from Settings ("Delete All Decisions" or "Delete My Account") removes it from both your device and the cloud permanently. You may also contact us at support@deczion.com to request complete account and data deletion.
6. Your Rights — GDPR (European Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Right of access — You can export your data at any time from Settings → Export Your Data
- Right to erasure — You can delete all data from Settings at any time
- Right to portability — Your data is exportable as a structured JSON file
- Right to object — You may contact us to object to any processing
Without an account, all data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us — many GDPR obligations are satisfied by design. With a free account, encrypted decision data is synced to Supabase and you retain all rights above. For questions, contact support@deczion.com.
7. Your Rights — CCPA (California Users)
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. You may exercise your rights at any time through the Settings page or by contacting us at support@deczion.com.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Service, contact us and we will take steps to remove it.
9. Third-Party Services
- OpenAI — Powers the decision analysis feature. Subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
- Supabase — Provides authentication and encrypted cloud storage for users who create an account. Subject to Supabase's Privacy Policy.
- Resend — Used for transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, Weekly Digest). Subject to Resend's Privacy Policy.
- Vercel — Hosts the Service. Standard server logs (IP address, request metadata) may be retained by Vercel per their infrastructure practices.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by an updated effective date on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
